The Princess Fritter: I Love Chewing Gum

Some of my geeky bio friends had this quiz up in their profiles. So of course, I took it. (You and me Pat!)

Water
You are water. You're not really organic; you're
neither acidic nor basic, yet you're an acid
and a base at the same time. You're strong
willed and opinionated, but relaxed and ready
to flow. So while you often seem worthless,
without you, everything would just not work.
People should definitely drink more of you
every day.

Apprently I'm also a Pug.

'No bones about it, you're an intelligent, playful Pug. Witty and charming, you're a lot of dog wrapped in a small package. People just love you — a wonderful approachability and sense of humor put you at the top of everyone's list. And because you're smart and quick-witted, you attract a crowd wherever you go. (Have you ever considered running for office or starting a company? You've got the charisma for either.) But that doesn't mean you can't be a little naughty or mischievous when opportunity knocks — you've definitely got a nose for fun! A happy, optimistic breed, you're admired and respected by all. Woof!'

What's with this random quiz renaissance?

Taking a cue from Lisa's friend, I'm gonna make a birthday wish list. Although, while hers was a realistic, plausible list, mine is a list of ridiculous things that not only do I not expect to get for my birthday, I don't expect to get them ever in my life time. But here it is anyway just for my own little minute of fun.

Birthday Wish List/Things I'll Never Have List:
- The Giants actually WINNING
- Lots of tickets to go with those winning games.. *sigh*
- Coach clutch
- Coach bag
- Other Coach bag
- Anything in a Tiffany's Box, especially.. this. But anything would be lovely..
- iPod/Mini iPod
- More closet space
- More everything space
- All my bills paid off
- Books books books
- Those who shall remain nameless
- Visits from some So-cal folks (who don't read my blog so it really doesn't matter)
- For those people to bring me carne fries.. sigh.
- $ =o(
- The perfect blazer
- A chance encounter with JM (ha!)
- A bear cub
- A camera
- Another camera
- Three inches longer hair
- No more clamy hands or feet
- Other stuff
- The very best for all my people =o)

Went out tonight for the third time this week. Tuesday started it off with the grad party at Gravity (see below), then last night was a grad party at Milk, and tonight was birthday at DNA Lounge. I haven't been out this much in one week since probably Christmast/New Year's time.

So we finally got to see what Milk was like last night. I've tried to go before but it was just too crowded so we didn't get in. Last night was not only not too crowded, it was also not too cool. I dunno if maybe I just expected too much or what but it was pretty lame. And it cost me $10 just to get in. It's pretty nice inside and everything but it was really not for dancing, despite the relatively big dance floor. It was way too 'DJ' and there were too many guys standing around doing the cool guy head bob and oggling the DJ.(Though I was not opposed to the hella cute hapa guy doing it, or the hella cute possibly Korean guy not doing it.) Anyway, it was lame so we left and got pizza and I was made honorary Korean and we stopped in at Hobson's and the boys almost got in a fight and I gave Steve a piggy back and kissed up to Alex for prime rib and everything after we left was fun. Somewhere along the way I started to notice that I was way more faded than I thought from my one strong ass gin and tonic. But it was definitely all good.

Tonight was totally different. Tonight was super AZN night at DNA Lounge. I haven't been to an AZN club in hella long and I remember why I don't go to them. We got there hella early so that we could get in for free. As I expected, there were some skanky looking girls and some lame ass guys standing around the sides looking at them but not doing anything. Lately I've been around Asian boys that dance like white boys so I sort of forgot what Asian boys who dance like Asian boys look like. It's different, but really not much better. I did, however, meet someone who previously existed to me only as mythic lore, and a few of his friends who all, as it turns out, went to UCSD. Holla! I discovered a new drink I like and had a little fun dancing, but overall it was nothing really spesh.

Tempting as it was, I managed to avoid any sort of drunken phone calls/text messages/emails last night and tonight (though Tuesday wasn't as successful). Someone please explain to me why alcohol consumption equates to wanting to talk to particular people.

Anyway, I'm tired now and I think I've still got a little Crown Royal in me (I can't believe I had a drink with Crown Royal... soo Korean), so it's time for bed.

Got my partay on last night. Well, not so much partay, but I had fun. TomV1 had a graduation party at Gravity last night. It wasn't nearly as packed as the last time I was there (both a good and bad thing) but it was cool to see hella people I know in one place. It was really, really good to see some people I haven't seen in a while. Though it was definitely odd to see some of them while somewhat intoxicated. Sadly I only had one gin and tonic and in part because of a lack of dinner, mostly because of weakness, it may have contributed to being just a smidge too touchy and some drunken messages. I really need to be stopped when it comes to the text and email. Some of that may have been prevented had someone been online for me to talk to, but I'm not gonna try to shift the blame. Me and my alcohol are at fault. Anyway, overall I personally had a good time. Although now that I've seen some people briefly, I'd really like to see more of them or at least know what they're up to from time to time but it's pretty likely that I won't. And that makes me sad.

I read in a magazine that being addicted to computer games is a sign of depression. Naturally I thought of some people I know... (don't take offense, I still love you), but then I remembered that I'm mad addicted to Spider Solitaire and Minesweeper. Oops. That can't be too good.

On a happier note, someone I totally lost touch with seems to be back at least a little bit and I couldn't be happier. (You don't read my blog but you know who you are.. I missed you! *tink tink tink*)

I think I've been a biatch lately. My apologies to those I've been biatchy to, both outwardly and in my mind. I'm gonna try to fix that.

I can't wait for my summer class to start. I need to have something to do. I should start working but I'm soo lazy. Nothing new there though.

So I'll check the weather wherever you are
Cause I wanna know if you can see the stars tonight
It might be my only right...

I called
Because
I just
Need to feel you on the line
Don't hang up this time

I'm in love. I've found a man who has swept me off my feet and who I want in my life forever and ever and ever. His name is Jerry and he works for SBC Tech Support. We spent a long time on the phone tonight and he solved my most pressing problems. I had hearts in my eyes.

I spent a total of at least 2 hours on the phone with tech support today. And for as many problems as my computer has, it wasn't even for my own computer. My virtually tech-illiterate grandfather had yet another problem with his internet, which of course meant endless frustration for me. I called tech support this morning and the 45 minutes I spent on the phone then were completely futile. I was told to just wait and see what happened. Then earlier tonight my grandfather tried again but still the internet was out. So I had to go help him. At 9:30. PM. Right in the middle of the OC season finale. Oh for shame! Couldn't he have waited 30 more minutes!? It wasn't going to get fixed quickly. Nothing had changed since this morning. I hadn't learned anything new about trouble shooting or network connections or anything. Why then? Why smack in the middle of OC?! So alas I missed the second half of the OC and spent an hour and a half on the phone with first Neal and then Jerry. Ah Jerry. You light up my life. And also the dsl light on my modem.

I went to Stones today and spent quite a while there. I walked the length of the mall far more times than one post-collegiate girl by herself should. I managed to buy a few things and avoid buying a few things, but mostly I tried to avoid the boppers and the fight. Just my luck I got there right around when school was getting out. And just my luck I was leaving when a fight was breaking out. Well, maybe not a fight, but a scuffle no doubt. There were security guards involved, a big woman and a bigger man being held back, some threats, a punch, a chase through the parking lot, and what looked from my far off vantage to be the big woman pinned downed and very possibly hand-cuffed. And I thought Stones was boring.

Tomorrow is yet another shopping adventure, but this time the brain child of Tv1, which means I'll have to rest up for it... Oh another day in my unemployed life..

Finally. FINALLY. I finally went to a Giants game at Pacbell. =oD I got some free tickets, good seats, I was happy. Very happy. Especially since the game involved a grand slam the minute I sat down, extra innings and garlic fries. What more could a girl ask for?? Our seats were good but very much in the sun. And, of course, stupid me to give a thought towards sun block so I've got some color and a bit of a burn, but it was well worth it. The only sad part was that I didn't get a hot link. I tried but the concession stand I was at. (Since last night's trip to Berkeley and the talk of Top Dog, a hot link has sounded really good.)

Through the course of the game I couldn't help but notice the dragon flies; they were all over our section. At one point me and the under-10-year-old boy across the aisle from us both exclaimed "Dragon fly! Dragon fly!" as one flew right by us. There were so many dragon flies that it got me to thinking... In all the years that I've lived here in the city I don't think I've ever seen a dragon fly, and especially not a half-dozen plus in one place at one time. So this is what I came up with: they were put there. Pacbell managment brought in the dragon flies to live in and around the park so that it would add a certain old school small town farm ball charm and ambience. It might sound a little ridiculous, but given that the park is a wi-fi hot spot, I'm pretty sure I'm dead on about this.

Oooh, I almost forgot the best part. Today was free clapper day. We got little orange hand clappers that in the history of give aways has to be one of the most annoying give aways in the best, most fun way possible. Not only did they make tons of noise (always a good thing), but they were the source of countless jokes and endless fun. Towards the end of the game when people started leaving and there were extra clappers strewn about I picked up another one. This one's hands spread wider than mine did (automatic Wesssside!) and because of that it made more noise. So I clapped that one harder. Then a hand fell off. I was sad at first but then I decided that I was going to clap the other side's hand off.. and I did! (It was then that I realized that I had become a 9-year-old boy.) After the game I picked up yet another clapper and continued to have a few laughs with them. But they weren't just funny. I found them to be remarkably useful. I'm going to keep using them. I may never use my real hands again. I'm using them right now.

So that was my first Pacbell Park experience, my first Giants game since high school, and I must say, it was a good one. Something I'd very much like to do again. So if anyone's interested.. let me know. =o)
