The Princess Fritter: I Love Chewing Gum

Guess who got a laptop...! Yeah baby! I love it. It's way faster than my dinosaur of a computer.. (don't think I don't still love you... you served me well.. I'll never forget you.) It's just great to not to have it be hella lagging. It's nice to hear the AIM sound and have the window pop up simultaneously. Although there was something to be said for the audio heads up before the window actually popped up.. but whatever. It's also great to be able to do things FROM MY BED! I love that. LOVE IT. I've been way geeking out for the past couple hours but I don't care. It's great. Great I tell you!
This is pretty much the update for right now. Not really much to say about spring break. It was unforunately both too short and too boring. Although the boring part sort of made up for the short. It wasn't so terrible to come down a couple days early. Plus I got to play tricky. Oh man... SSX TRICKY!! That game is waaaay addicting. (All your faulty Billy... hooked on the uber.. must do more... Where is uber trick master Cobarrubia??) I've played it a little before but I never lived with or near it before. This quarter is going to be way bad... Whatever classes.. it's all about the uber tricks! Er.. um.. I mean... it's all about getting good grades?
Oh, one last thing. Big ups to Pat and that Hat (ba-dum-bump) and some good ass pastrami.. I will eat it in a box, I will eat it with a fox, I will eat chili cheese pastrami fries, just so long as it doesn't go to my thighs... (Ahh.. yeah.. lame.. blame it on 8 Mile... Why am I battling Da Brat?)

Not trying like hell to avoid my papers but managing to do so anyway.. go figure. I'll get to work in a minute but I just want to say that I WALKED PAST PHYLLICIA RASHAD ON CAMPUS TODAY! Yeah, that's right.. Mrs. Huxtable.. The Cosby Show mom. I'm 95% sure it was her. I dunno what she was doing on campus but there she was walking down the stairs into Price Center. It was the kicker to an already strange morning. Well I guess it wasn't that strange.. I just felt all weird since I was at CLICS til 4 am and then came home and ate hotdogs and unfortunately promptyl fell asleep, only to have to get up early and go photocopy pages upon pages of things to be read earlier, then down a red bull, spend too much time shopping for pens, and ducking out of sight so as not to be seen by someone I didn't really feel like talking to. And then after all that I saw Phyllicia Rashad. Go figure. So yeah, that was my morning. Oh and then my mom called to harrass me,as she tends to like to do when I am my most stressed... And now I must get to work. Damn these finals.

Trying like all hell to avoid working on my final papers. That of course will bite me in the ass later when I've been up for 48+ hours straight and I'm so stressed I can't do anything without breaking down in tears... but for now I just don't wanna do it. Although I just realized that I've wasted about half the time that I had to do these two papers so maybe it's time that I actually get working. In a minute I guess..
Haven't been doing much else lately. The quarter is over and I'm actually a little sad. Turns out my favorite professor who I never got to know like I said I would is leaving UCSD after next quarter. Glad I had him when I did... Met some cool people in my classes but unfortunately didn't start talking to them enough until the end of the quarter. Isn't that always how it goes though.. sucks. Actually had a really good class with a good prof and meant to go talk to him and kiss up, should I ever need letters of rec, but my lazy ass never went and he's not teaching the class I thought he would next quarter. Oh and I dropped the worst class ever in the history of classes just in time to not fail. Everyone's allowed one W, right?
Next quarter is the last one and I think I'm gonna start freaking out soon. No job lined up, no idea what I'm gonna do, etc etc. I guess I'm not freaking too much cuz I know that something somewhere somehow will work out, but for now it's just not something I wanna think about.... Oh well, guess I better get to work.

I went runnin runnin for the second time in two days.. (that hasn't happened in a while) Today's run was a marked improvement over yesterday. The mark of a good run isn't how far or how long I run, or even how good I feel. The mark of a good run is how many bunnies I see. Today was an 800% improvement over yesterday. Since I didn't see any bunnies at all yesterday I wasn't really expecting to see any today, so I was happy when I saw the first two. I only managed to see 8 tonight (I think it was 8. I was running laps so it's hard to keep a totally accurate count, but I'm gonna say 8.), but that's not bad considering this is the time of year when all the new bunnies are being made. Knowing that they're out there makes me want to run more just so I can count more bunnies. Don't ask me what it is about them (strange attraction to small furry animals I guess.. ) but I've been a little obsessed with the bunnies ever since first year, even before I went here. (Billy, I think you still owe me one.) I just think it's so cool that they're running all over campus and around the parks and stuff being all cute and long-earred and bunny-like. I guess it's like the squirrels at Cal, but that's pretty cool too. (Although the bunnies here don't crawl up on your foot and take pieces of orange out of your hand to be eaten in a nearby planter box--Lisa.) This increase in bunny sightings can only mean that spring is coming soon, which just means more bunnies. Come next quarter I will be out runnin runnin to count bunnies at dusk. Judging by last year I should count well into the double digits. I'm excited. There will be bunny sightings posted, don't worry.

For just about a week now I've been in particularly high spirits, and for whatever reason, that seems to have been driving me to shop. I've spent more money than I care to think about lately but I'm pretty okay with it. It's a lot better than that past times when I've shopping therapied myself into a $500 credit card bill. At least this time I'm already happy and only getting happier. And I think I'm actually so happy that I can even return some of what I bought. Yes, girls do this. We buy things, then return them. You don't buy stuff just to look at it. (right Sam..?) So I think perhaps this weekend I'll go on a little returning spree and then be even happier about the money I'm getting back. I actually really like to return things cuz I like seeing a credit on my bank statement. Yeah, I know.. dorky.. but hey, it's the little things. Anyway, as for the happy part.. I dunno.. it's weird.. seeing a Target commercial featuring John Mayer will make me giggle and hearing a song of his will make me smile (more than usual). Sunny days are particularly nice and it's good to talk to old friends again, even if only for briefly. I really don't know what it is with me.. I've just been a really good mood lately. Even the Lakers winning tonight with that stinkin clutch shot by stupid Robert Horry wasn't so bad because the Kings beat the Timberwolves in a really good overtime. Like I said, it's the little things.. Of course, the real question here is: how long will this keep up. Just have to wait and see I guess. I hope for a while.. so no one piss me off.
